Paved Trail
A paved trail leads from the center of the park, along South Park Boulevard and over the dam; this trail connects with the 1.4 mile Cleveland Heights trail along North Park Boulevard. (Note: The walkway over the dam is closed until the Doan Brook Restoration project is complete.) The trails in and around Horseshoe Park total 1.3 miles. A combination of paved, gravel, and boardwalk trails are located at the center of the park.

Reserving a Pavilion

Book your party in the large pavilion at Horseshoe Park up to one year in advance. The Horseshoe Park Reservation & Permit Form can be completed online here. Dates fill quickly. Weekday and weekend reservations are available from the Tuesday after Memorial Day through the Sunday prior to Labor Day. Reservations are available on weekends only during the month of September. No reservations will be taken for Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, or Labor Day. Pavilions may be used on a first-come, first-served basis on these holidays. Requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance and are limited to two reservations per person per calendar year. Restrooms are open May 1 through October 31, weather permitting.
