Chief Culture & Engagement Officer

As Chief Culture and Engagement Officer, Colleen Jackson is charged with advising the mayor, chief administrative officer, and department directors on issues concerning culture and engagement, offering strategic guidance to foster a welcoming and respectful environment throughout the City. Jackson:

  • Serves as thought leader to influence decision-making across the organization
  • Works with various departments to implement departmental culture and engagement goals and objectives
  • Supports the Human Resources Department on matters related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance

Jackson joined the City in June 2021. She comes to Shaker Heights from Cleveland Play House, where she served as Director of Community Partnerships and Programming. In this role, Jackson oversaw community programs like Say Yes Cleveland and MyCom, while also being responsible for professional development initiatives in the area of culture and engagement.
